Washington State Economic Impact Survey Report
Washington's nonprofit community is
energetic and strong. This is apparent now as nonprofits across the
state assess the impact of the economy. Many are in uncharted
territories, never having lived through a recession of this intensity.
For the most part we believe nonprofits will respond to the challenges
and take advantage of new opportunities available to them. This report
chronicles the reasons we have come to these conclusions.
This report is more than a reflection
of our current economy and its impact on the nonprofit community. With
this report comes a greater understanding of what nonprofits are
facing, what they have done in response to the declining economy to
date and what they need in order to be successful.
EA alliance of nonprofits looks to assist nonprofits and
foundations alike to move through this time of transformation -
clarifying who we are as a sector, who we serve and how we conduct the
business of maintaining the quality of life for the citizens of
Washington. EA alliance of nonprofits is prepared to offer leadership and channel the energies
and expertise of the thousands of committed nonprofit professionals
from throughout the state to maintain and strengthen the lifeblood of
our communities - Washington's nonprofit sector.
