  Today's nonprofit leaders face monumental decisions on a regular basis. The outcome of each decision has a huge impact on each individual organization - and the entire sector. In order to advance a powerful nonprofit sector, EA alliance of nonprofits seeks to strengthen each leader and support every decision.
  
  Peer Coaching circles are highly focused groups of peers who meet regularly to assist each other with:
  

  • problem solving

  • expand perspectives

  • highlight alternative solutions

  These moderated groups are composed of six to eight members with varying levels of expertise and experience to contribute to the success of your organization. Every member of the Peer Coaching Circle commits to active participation through eight monthly meetings.
  

  How they work?

  • Confidentially is a primary expectation

  • Meetings are three hours long and logistics are managed by EA

  • Each member is allotted an equal time slot each session to raise issues particular to their organization

  • Members choose their own issues to explore and resolve. They take a complete look at the situation, explore alternative solutions, set realistic goals, and take positive actions

  • Coaching involves a variety of approaches and skills, including: active listening, probing questions, brainstorming, supportive challenges, while occasionally sharing personal materials and experiences

  United Way of King County Day of Caring 2010 is set for Friday, September 24^th! This is a great opportunity to connect with new volunteers and get some help with those much needed projects you haven't gotten around to. Projects are recommended to take place between 9am and 3pm, followed by an After-Party at Qwest Field, hosted by United Way of King County for all volunteers and agencies. Registration for agencies will open the week of May 10^th .
