Executive Director

Melany has been part of the Puget Sound community for over 20 years. During this time she has been actively involved in a variety of organizations. Prior to her position at EA alliance of nonprofits, Melany was the founding board chair of Cascadia Community College Foundation; board member of United Way of King County, ArtStar, and the Association for Corporate Growth; founding member of the Washington State Microenterprise Association. She has volunteered with Junior Achievement, Eastside Mental Health, YWCA, Northwest Entrepreneur Network; Family Services, Women Business Owners, Woman’s Business Exchange; and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce.
Member Services Manager
Yalonda brings over 10 years of leadership experience in planning, marketing and executing events along with more than 6 years of local and international experience in building collaborations in the public, nonprofit and private sectors. In 2004, Yalonda served as the Deputy Political Director for the Gregoire for Governor campaign and has worked with a number of other political candidates running for office. In addition to her Member Services Manager role, she coordinates the Annual Washington State Nonprofit Conference. Yalonda serves on the board of the University of Washington's Fundraising Management Program Advisory Board and the Southeast Seattle Crime Prevention Council. She is an avid community organizer and facilitator of various political and public safety initiatives. Her hero is the late Helen Suzeman, a former political leader in the South African Parliament, who was the only Caucasian woman who championed the ending of apartheid in South Africa's government.
Administrative Assistant
Constance is a California born Senior studying Economics at Seattle University. She has been a valuable addition to EA alliance of nonprofits since September. “I was attracted to EA because of its whole hearted commitment to address problems that are faced by the nonprofit sector and community.” During her free time she enjoys playing the piano, chess, and volunteering at First Place School.
Event Coordinators
Kelsey Ricker was born and raised in sunny Southern California. Her nonprofit experience began in high school, when she co-created a nonprofit organization called “ABC4Life.” Kelsey was an integral part in planning community events to raise money for literacy programs. She currently is majoring in Communication and minoring in Business at Seattle Pacific University. After graduation Kelsey will be back in Los Angeles as an event planner.
Wambui is a recent graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a major in Political Science (emphasis in International Affairs) and a minor in Communication. At EA alliance of nonprofits Wambui serves as an Events and Programs Intern. She is helping to plan and coordinate the 16th annual Washington State Nonprofit Conference while providing support to the Executive staff.
Public Policy Manager
Ashley Rogers is a Masters of Public Administration student at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. In 2007 she received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University. Before coming to EA alliance of nonprofits Ashley worked as the Development Director for an global development nonprofit called HELP International. With HELP she traveled to Uganda and Fiji to establish new economic development projects in both countries. Ashley is passionate about the power of the nonprofit sector to transform communities and strengthen the economy. She aspires to work on international poverty issues and be a leader to help strengthen the nonprofit sector as a whole.
Communication Curator
The newest addition to our staff - Benn studies Communication and International Studies at the University of Washington. While serving a mission in Brazil for two years, Benn learned the value of nonprofit work and community service. After graduation, it’s a direct flight back to the adopted homeland where Benn will work with nonprofits and NGOs to “do some good.” Currently Benn sits on the board of the South End Neighborhood Council in Tacoma, WA.
